Today marks an exciting step forward in the Castle Gatehouse Project as steel beams are being installed on the first floor of the Gatehouse. This milestone represents the first stage in recreating the chambers that Bishop Alexander would have known nearly 900 years ago.

The newly installed structures will form the foundation for the Gatehouse’s restored interior, helping to bring this remarkable building’s history back to life for future generations.
