Newark Castle reveals ticket prices
Visitors will soon be able to explore more than 900 years of history at Newark Castle, with ticket prices now confirmed ahead of the attraction's planned reopening in summer 2027.
Following a major programme of restoration and improvement works, Newark Castle is being transformed into a landmark heritage attraction that will bring the site's remarkable story to life. From restored historic spaces and interactive displays to improved accessibility and stunning views across the Trent Valley, the renewed visitor experience will offer something for all ages.
Adult admission will be £9, while Newark and Sherwood residents will benefit from a reduced rate of £4.50. In a commitment to making heritage accessible to younger audiences, all under 25s will be able to visit free of charge.
The new pricing structure has been designed to balance affordability with the long-term care and conservation of one of Newark's most important heritage landmarks. Revenue generated through ticket sales will help support the Castle's ongoing maintenance and ensure future generations can continue to enjoy and learn from the site.
The reopening will mark a major milestone in the Newark Castle Gatehouse Project, which is restoring the historic Gatehouse, improving accessibility and creating new opportunities for people to connect with Newark's rich heritage. Visitors can look forward to exploring revitalised spaces, uncovering fascinating stories from the Castle's past and enjoying a more accessible and engaging visitor experience.
Further details on opening dates, annual passes and how to book tickets will be announced closer to the Castle's planned reopening in summer 2027.
